AUSTRALIA
Why It Matters
In Australia, anyone can write a "valuation" — but only a valuer registered with the National Council of Jewellery Valuers (NCJV) carries the formal training, professional indemnity and independence required by major insurers, the courts and the ATO.
Certified Practising Valuer registered with the National Council of Jewellery Valuers — Australia's peak independent valuation body.
Not affiliated with any retailer or insurer. Our valuations are completely independent and accepted by every major Australian insurance company.
Formal gemmological qualifications from the Gemmological Association of Australia and Gem-A (UK), with ongoing professional development.
Full professional indemnity insurance and bailee cover — your jewellery is fully protected from the moment it enters our care.

The Process
01
Bring your jewellery to our Woolooware Bay showroom or send insured. Each item is logged, photographed and receipted on arrival.
02
Microscope inspection, gemmological testing, weight, measurement, metal verification, hallmark check and condition report — performed in front of you where possible.
03
Current Australian retail comparables, recent auction results, brand premiums and rarity factors are researched to determine accurate replacement value.
04
Signed and embossed valuation certificate with high-resolution photographs, full description, gem grading and replacement value — typically within 5–7 business days.
With the closure of the Argyle mine in 2020, Australian pink diamonds have become one of the most rapidly appreciating assets in the world — and a popular SMSF holding. Accurate, independent market valuations are essential for ATO compliance, insurance and estate planning.
Nathan has personally sourced and traded Argyle pink diamonds for over 30 years. Our valuations include grading lot identification (where present), Argyle Pink Diamonds tender provenance, current secondary-market comparables and full SMSF-compliant documentation.
